This solid oak piece demonstrates a subtle flow, a gentle wave. Someone who observed the piece for a while told me: ‘It’s soothing me and disturbing me at the same time. Soothing because of the order, the shadow play, flow and the natural colors. But disturbing because I like symmetry en perfection and the piece doesn’t give me that. But that’s exactly how undercurrents work, don’t they?’
